Exciting News: A Refreshed Online Library Experience Arrives in May 2025!

Mark your calendars! On or around May 1st, 2025, the library is launching a new online experience, featuring a redesigned website and the streamlined EBSCO Discovery Service.

After five years, it's time for an update! Our refreshed website will boast:

  • A Modern Look: A new color palette that aligns with the college's updated brand standards, enhancing the library's visual identity.
  • Improved Accessibility: A more prominent search box and clearer navigation links for easier access to resources.
  • Enhanced Engagement: A dedicated Library News blog and increased visibility for library events and activities.

But the changes don't stop there! EBSCO, our primary database provider, is also rolling out a new, intuitive search interface for all its databases, including CINAHL, Academic Search Complete, and Explora, as well as our comprehensive OneSearch tool (available on the library homepage). Updates includes a simpler, less text-heavy interface to help reduce cognitive load, filter with fewer clicks and the ability to copy browser URL's to return to articles. 

Key Points to Remember:

  • The library URL (library.delta.edu) will remain the same.
  • Library staff are diligently updating D2L eLearning modules, videos, and tutorials to reflect the new website and search interface. Continue to submit your requests for library research instruction if you teach spring/summer and we should be able to accommodate your classes.
  • If you are a faculty member and your courses include library-related content, please review your links and instructions this summer to ensure accuracy. While most links should remain the same, it is always best to double check.
