The Delta College Library is one of the 1,257 designated federal depository libraries.
The mission of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) is to disseminate information produced by federal agencies to federal depository libraries nationwide. Designated in 1963, we serve the federal information needs of the 5th U.S. Congressional District in the state of Michigan, along with the faculty, staff, and students of Delta College. The Library and the Government Documents Collection are open to the community.

The United States Government is the largest publisher in the world. Every day the U.S. Government issues congressional bills, laws, regulations, presidential documents, studies, and more on a variety of topics. The Federal Depository Library Program was established by Congress to ensure that the American public has access to its Government's information. The Federal Depository Library Program  is administered by the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO). Since 1813, select U.S. Government documents have been made available throughout the United States and its territories to designated libraries. These designated libraries are called Federal depository libraries.
