Technology

Access to Electronic Library Resources from Off Campus

Almost all Library resources are accessible from off campus via EZ Proxy. You may be asked to login with your Delta username and password when you click into the resource. Contact the library if you have problems accessing our databases from off campus. Visit the A-Z list of Databases for a complete list of electronic resources. 

Computers

The Library space includes 86 PC computers and 17 Mac computers. A Delta username or password is required to login into the computers or a guest pass can be obtained at the Reference Desk with a valid state ID. The computers print to kiosk printers in the Library. Various computers have specialty programs. Ask at the reference desk if you need help locating a specific software.

Laptops

The Library has 10 Dell laptops available for on-campus use. The laptops are available for 4-hour checkout at the front desk and include Microsoft Office, Zoom, webcams and Respondus Lockdown Browser. 

Printing

Students receive 500 free prints per semester. Guests may request a network day pass at the reference desk, which includes 10 free prints per day.

Wireless Printing

Wireless printing is available through the PaperCut print management system. 

You can print wirelessly in the library by either installing the printer on your laptop, uploading your documents to PaperCut or emailing your documents (as attachments) to the printer (LibraryEmailPrint@delta.edu) from your Delta email account. Assistance is available at the reference desk. 

Color Printing

Color printing is available in the library. Students can print in color from computer Pod A135 or Pod A by choosing the printer library_color. Color prints can then be picked up at the Reference Desk. Please ask a library employee if you need assistance with color printing.

Scan, Photocopy, & Fax

Scanners are available on both PC and MAC computers in the Library. Ask for assistance at the Reference Desk if help is needed. You can also scan documents using many free apps on your smartphone including the Apple Notes app and the Adobe Scan app. 

Please ask a staff member for assistance with photocopying documents.

Faxing is available in the Bookstore. Contact the Bookstore for more information at 989-686-9030.

IT Support

Delta's Office of Information Technology is located in B119. Staff is available for walk-in service from 7:00am-5:00pm. You can also email questions to help@delta.edu or call 989-686-9575.

Audio Visual Support Services

The office of Information Technology (OIT) provides Audio/Visual services for college faculty and staff only. Call 989-686-9575 or email help@delta.edu for A/V assistance and support. 

Software

Many computers in the open computer lab have special software installed. Please ask at the Reference Desk if you need help locating a specific software. 

Password Changes

Password change kiosks are available in the Library. Please visit the Office of Information Technology website for more information about Multi-Factor Authentication and Password changes. 

Calculators

Graphing calculators are available to borrow at the circulation/front desk of the Library. Calculators can be borrowed for 4 hours with a Delta student ID or can be borrowed for the semester (while supplies last). 

Phone Chargers

Portable phone chargers are available for in-library checkout for 2 hours from the circulation/front desk. A Student ID is required. The chargers include an android and iPhone charging cord. 

Headphones

Headphones are available for in-library checkout for 4-hours from the Circulation/front desk. A Student ID is required. 

Microfilm/Microfiche Reader/Printer

A microfilm/microfiche reader/printer is available in the Library. The Library holds government documents and newspapers including the Bay City Times, Delta Collegiate, Midland Daily News, Saginaw News and New York Times on microform.
