Our goals are to promote public understanding of climate science and climate-related events, to make NOAA data products and services easy to access and use, to provide climate-related support to the private sector and the Nation’s economy, and to serve people making climate-related decisions with tools and resources that help them answer specific questions. In short, NOAA Climate.gov's mission is to provide science and information for a climate-smart nation.

The IPCC prepares comprehensive Assessment Reports about the state of scientific, technical and socio-economic knowledge on climate change, its impacts and future risks, and options for reducing the rate at which climate change is taking place.

The Sustained Assessment of the Great Lakes is intended to be a continuous, sustained, community-based process to assess knowledge of GL ice cover, lake levels, hydrology, and climate. Lake levels and ice cover are basic, integrated measures important to lake and coastal ecosystems, coastal communities, and regional climate.

Talk Climate is based in Seattle, Washington on the traditional land of the Duwamish and Coast Salish people. A people that are still here, continuing to honor and bring to light their ancient heritage. Without them, we would not have access to this dialogue and learning space.
