The media can have a positive or negative effect on the perception that is being viewed in world. However, many people are comfortable with living in fear or the unknown it keeps them trapped in the mind. Stereotyping is just another way of not having to build relationships with others. Stereotyping in the social media has caused mental health in the United States. This happens when negative stereotypes about their social group start to have anxiety. Also, this can affect work performance, personal and home life.
