Stereotypes In The Media

Stereotypes in the media have played a large role society and the structure of how people each other. Everyone one no matter race, culture, creed religion has been stereotyped in some way shape of fashion. No matter the culture or the background a person and or certain groups have had the negative effects. The foundation and the negative labels have had an effect on the mindset of people as a whole. Members of a certain group may become at risk because of the prejudgment notions.  Not everyone is a criminal, robbing banks and or up to no good based upon the color of their skin. No matter the differences everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

This is going to start a journey on how stereotyping has affected groups in the United States and different communities.

The Impact of Media in Society

For years different cultures and communities have been hurt by the damages of stereotyping. Stereotyping is another form of racism. Stereotyping is not based upon the character of an individual. The media can have a positive or negative effect on the perception that is being viewed in world. However, many people are comfortable with living in fear or the unknown it keeps them trapped in the mind. Stereotyping is just another way of not having to build relationships with others. Stereotyping in the social media has caused mental health in the United States. This happens when negative stereotypes about their social group start to have anxiety. Also, this can affect work performance, personal and home life.
