Terrorism is an act of violence to bring out fear in a population, you may wonder why people would want to put such fear into a person. Since the 20th century, the term terrorism has been applied in a violent way either directly or indirectly to influence policy or existing regimes. There are three main types of terrorism revolutionary, sub-revolutionary, and establishment. Revolutionary terrorism is the most common form. This act of terrorism wants to seek the complete abolition of a political system and its replacement with new structures. Sub-revolutionary terrorism is less common and is not used to overthrow an existing regime but to change the sociopolitical structure. Establishment terrorism is mainly against anything to do with the government. Besides that in order to generate widespread fear there are things they have to take into action which can be hijacking, kidnappings, mass shootings, car bombings, and sometimes suicide bombings. These choices aren’t just randomly picked, they choose careful selections that they believe will get the most shock from people. A few selections they have targeted before are schools, bus stations, restaurants, and nightclubs. These few locations are known to have attracted the most people, and they watch closely and see when most people show up to these locations so they get the most amount of people at the right times. With when it comes to political organizations, many people have practiced terrorism such as religious groups, revolutionaries, and even state institutions such as armies, intelligence services, and police. So you may have thought terrorism just comes from one place and one group of people when it really comes from all over and is used in many different factors.
The impact of terrorism is always negative on the economy, and physical destruction is a big reason why. Terrorists destroy existing plants, machines, transportation systems, working places, and other economic resources. They can waste billions of dollars worth of property and senselessly kill many workers.
Over the past decade, 27,000 people are killed each year due to, Shootings, bombings, and more. Targeting innocent people who have futures to withhold.
Terrorism has many different effects on people and how they act and interpret things. It can damage their feelings, attitude, and how they view the world, it makes an impact on them in certain ways, depends how they get affected by it. It kills a mass of people and terrors the area for a while, it can be days, weeks, or months before that place is back to normal after a terrorist attack has occurred there. In America, we are lucky enough not to be affected hard by it, but in the middle east people are constantly getting attacked and terrorized by terrorist groups.
